2021 NBA Mock Draft

Updated: Jul 30

Once again, here we are on one of the greatest nights of the year. No it isn't Halloween, New Years Eve, Christmas Eve or whatever the hell other nights people love, but one much, much better... Yes of course I mean NBA Draft Night. Although, I will say this year's draft class is, in my mind, one of the most underappreciated and less-"hyped" that I can remember. Amongst these players you can find star potential at each position, and yet the attention has simply not been around the draft. People have just been more focused on more "real world issues".. whatever that means, or things we have not seen in years (or ever) such as: Covid, The Olympics, Rumors of women being put in the US Army draft reserve, NFLPA vs. Vaccinations, NIL in college sports, Texas and Oklahoma to the SEC, and finally, the Cubs completely imploding and treating Rizzo and Kris Bryant terribly on their way out, although that last one may just be me. My whole point is that each of these players have worked their asses off since they were, like, three years old for this moment, and they deserve to reap all of the benefits and attention that come with this night. Personally, I am extremely excited and cannot wait to get 20% of the picks correct tonight, so without further ado, my not-so-accurate mock draft on how the night SHOULD go:

  1. Pistons - Cade Cunningham, SG, Oklahoma State

  2. Rockets - Jalen Green, SG, G-League

  3. Cavs - Evan Mobley, C, USC

  4. Raptors - Jalen Suggs, PG, Gonzaga

  5. Magic - Scottie Barnes, SF, FSU

  6. Thunder - Jonathan Kuminga, SF, Congo

  7. Warriors - James Bouknight, SG, UConn

  8. Magic - Moses Moody, SG, Arkansas

  9. Kings - Franz Wagner, SF, Michigan

  10. Pelicans - Josh Giddey, SF, Australia

  11. Hornets - Jalen Johnson, SF, Duke

  12. Spurs - Alperen Sengun, C, Turkey

  13. Pacers - Corey Kispert, SF, Gonzaga

  14. Warriors - Davion Mitchell, PG, Baylor (I think they trade out of this pick)

  15. Wizards - Trey Murphy, SG, UVA

  16. Thunder - Kai Jones, C, Texas

  17. Grizzlies - Chris Duarte, SG, Oregon

  18. Thunder - Keon Johnson, SG, Tennessee

  19. Knicks - Jared Butler, PG, Baylor

  20. Hawks - Cam Thomas, SG, LSU

  21. Knicks - Isaiah Todd, PF/C, G-League (I'm biased, but complete sleeper being overlooked)

  22. Lakers - Sharife Cooper, PG, Auburn

  23. Rockets - Usman Garuba, PF, Spain

  24. Rockets - Ziaire Williams, SF, Stanford

  25. Clippers - Nah'Shon "Bones" Hyland, PG, VCU

  26. Nuggets - Jaden Springer, PG, Tennessee

  27. Nets - Quentin Grimes, SG, Houston

  28. 76ers - Charles Bassey, C, Western Kentucky

  29. Nets - Tre Mann, PG, Florida

  30. Jazz - Ayo Dosunmo, SG, Illinois

Place your prop bets accordingly. Also Russ to the Lakers is going to be pretty badass.
